Adam Blair Witt, 18, of Campbell County, was killed in a car accident on Lawyers
Road at about 5:30 on Saturday morning.
The car’s driver was not old enough to have a license, said Sgt. Dave Cooper,
the Virginia State Police’s public information officer.
“The driver said he was avoiding a deer, ran off the left side of the road and
went down a 50-foot embankment,” Cooper said.
The 1992 Honda Civic overturned several times, throwing both Witt and the driver
from the vehicle.
Cooper said he did not know whether the driver, whose injuries weren’t
life-threatening, was taken to the hospital.
The accident happened about 1¼ mile east of the intersection of Lawyers and
Waterlick roads in Campbell County.
Neither were wearing seatbelts, Cooper said.
State Police Officer T.A. Eckenrode is conducting the investigation. Cooper said
that charges were pending.

Comments: We Love You Dearly Adam!
Adam and I grew up together, we met when we were 3 .. we did almost everything
together as kids, in kindergarten he use to cry to come to my classroom because
he would miss his mama and didnt wanna be alone. HaHe we use to laugh about that
all the time. When we were a little older we use to do things that would get us
in trouble so one day i cant remember what exactly we did but we jumped into
this old toy box his mom had with all the toys in it and shut it. we got stuck,
it seemed like hours before we could get the door open to it to get out!. We had
alot of memories, altho the older we got we werent as close BUT he was always
still my best friend, hes one of the only people who never turned their back on
me. He was always smiling, his smiles and jokes always made my day. If i was
ever having a bad day n when id randomly see adam out somewhere or in the hall
..there he was smiling n sayin "Heyyy!".
I love + miss him dearly!
Your always in my thoughts n prayers!
Love Always
Amanda

Comments: So, Adam & I started school together in kindergarden, same class! &
would have finished together this year! it was what seemed a long 14 years, but
now looking back, just wasnt long enough, as we got older we didnt talk as much,
or see each other as much, but as i close my eyes, i still see him sitting up in
his ole' truck in front of burleys market at the stop light on 29, looking down
smiling & waving at me. =] Adam will be missed so much, & my thoughts and
prayers are with his family throughtout their difficult time. just know, he wont
be missed, we'll see him again one day! =]
