M

iss Kaitlyn Hickson, a Sophomore at BHS, has been awarded a copy of Image/Word: a book of poems by Randolph-Macon Maier Museum of Art, which is to be awarded to a Sophomore student in recognition of their academic achievement and leadership potential.

The Randolph-Macon Woman’s College Book Award automatically qualifies a recipient of the award for a scholarship of at least $5,000.00, if she applies to the College and is admitted.  Students may qualify for additional scholarship monies based upon their academic record, test scores, and other factors, which will be determined upon the application to the College.

Randolph-Macon Women’s College sincerely congratulates Kaitlyn, who joins a select group of exceptional young women across the country who are recipients of the annual Randolph-Macon Women’s College Book Award.  The College wishes her well in her future endeavors and is confident that she will meet with much success.

Cole, Assistant Principal, would like to remind all parents that students are required to turn in all textbooks to their teachers before leaving for the year.  Students failing to return textbooks will be charged a monetary fee in order to replace the books.  Students enrolled in English and most mathematics courses were issued textbooks they were allowed to keep at home during the school term.  These textbooks must also be returned to the teacher that issued them.
