Steven Michael Jones
Steven Michael Jones, 27, of Richmond and formerly of Forest, died Sunday, Sept.
2, 2007, in Richmond.
Born Feb. 26, 1980, in Lynchburg, he was the son of Steven and Cindy Jones of
Forest.
Steven was a store manager with Office Max in Richmond, an Eagle Scout and
competed twice in the Future Business Leaders of America national competitions.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy
Driskill Jones of Altavista; and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Griffin of
Portland, ME; a brother, Daniel A. Jones of Forest; and a sister Anne Marie
Jones of Richmond; and a lifelong pal, Dustin Mann.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Lane
Memorial United Methodist Church.
Finch and Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista is in charge of
arrangements.

When I was told the news last night, I was very upset that I had not been told
sooner and that I could not pay my respects to you and to Anne. You were a
really sweet and fun person and I will miss you very much. Anne, I am so very
sorry for this and please know....He talked about u often. I only got to know
him for a few months when I lived with Heidi Vernoy and he would come over with
a friend. I know that he loved you and was proud of you...

Comments: When my grandmother told me of the news (I live in Fl now)...I was
shocked. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dustin Mann, I know what it's like to
