On March 18, Alan witnessed from his classroom that a student being escorted to the nurse's office was having trouble breathing. He immediately followed the student to the nurse's office. The situation escalated and the student actually stopped breathing. Alan reacted promptly and administered CPR to the student who was then able to resume normal breathing. He remained with the student until the Campbell County Rescue Squad arrived. Because of Alan's skill, training and quick response, a potential tragedy was averted.
