I was friends with Lisa in elementary and middle school. She was one of my best friends! I moved away after middle school and lost contact with her. I regret that I never reached out to her more. She was such a vibrant and loving person. Whenever I had teenage girl drama, she would always comfort me and tell me everything would be alright. She has now been gone 15 years. I learned of her passing just recently and I am so saddened to hear of it. My heart truly goes out to her parents. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers forever. And Lisa is an angel looking down upon us all telling us " everything will be alright".

It has been such a long time and so many things have changed and passed. But, my sorrow I feel for the loss of such a sweet person has never ended or changed in any way. I think about Lisa so very often, and Rachel and Bobbie. Josh still has her picture on his chest of drawers in his room with the wilted red roses from the funeral. So many times I have wanted to reach out, I am at a loss for words. I wanted all to know I (we) still care.
Stop telling God how big your storm is, instead tell your storm how big God is.

Comments: It was such a shock when Lisa passed away. My older sister Amy Collins graduated with Lisa in 2000. I don't know much about Lisa except I am very good friends with Josh Burks and from what he says Lisa seemed like a wonderful person. I know it's been almost 2 years but I know for a fact that there are people who still miss you and think about you all the time. My best wishes and prayers go out to Lisa's family. R.I.P Lisa will always be in my memories.

I just wanted to let everyone know that even thought the hurt has dulled she is still on my mind and in my heart. As I wrote before I am sorry that I was not there for her like I was all the other times that she needed me. I miss you very much BABY GURL. I will always love you and remember how I could always make you smile when you were unhappy. Lots of love always and forever.

Comments : I can still remember Lisa as a little girl, so sweet and innocent.  I will never forget her because she is a part of me.  Jesus does love all of his children and there is a time when he does come back to take us home.  The bible states in Jeremiah 29:13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.  I believe that Lisa did seek him and she has found him in a beautiful place where there is peace, happiness and alot of love.  God bless you all and if you haven't searched for the lord with all of your heart you need to do that today because you don't know when its your time to depart from this life to move on to eternity.  Just say the sinners prayer and I can guarantee that your life with be forever changed.
SINNERS PRAYER:  Dear Lord, be merciful to me a sinner.  I believe Jesus died for my sins on the cross, and rose again the third day.  I repent of my sins today.  By faith I receive the Lord Jesus as my Savior.  You promised to save me, and I believe you because you are God and cannot lie.  I believe right now the Lord Jesus is my personal savior, and all my sins are forgiven through his precious blood.  I thank you dear lord for saving my soul, in Jesus name.  AMEN

Trust in him and he will guide you just as he has done for Lisa and now for Bobby and Rachel.  I love you Lisa and there will always be a place for you in my heart.  You will always be remembered and loved.

Comments : To everyone who did not know Lisa, I'm very sorry because you missed out on something great. Lisa was one of the best friends that I've ever had. I've known her since the seventh grade. Every time I got within five feet of her I just had to smile. She always had that affect on me. She was always there for me when I needed someone to talk to . We both went through a lot together. I can not even look at anything shiny without thinking about her. Even now I want to cry. I remember how she used to hate the sight of someone crying, because it always brought tears to her eyes. She never liked to see anyone unhappy. Lisa was the type of person who would do anything you asked her to. I want to say how sorry that I am to her parents. I know how much she loved you both. She told me every day. I know that she is looking down on us now and smiling and giggling. Well Lisa I hope there are a lot of shiny things up there.

Love ya, Lynette

Comments : It is hell to lose such a close friend as Lisa. You will always be in my thoughts. I hope that someday the hurt will pass. Not only for me, but for Lisa's parents. I wish that I could have been there for you like I was all those other times you needed me. I'm sorry! I take comfort in knowing that you are in a better place and that you know how much everyone truly cared for you. I miss you greatly. I will always cherish the time we had together. With much love.

Comments : Much of what I grow toward, and change within myself, has to do with what I respond to in you, What I learn from you, what I understand about myself through you, and what I learn about my feelings in the dynamics of our relationship. I do not worry about our future together, since we have already touched each other and affected each other's lives on so many levels that we can never be totally removed from each other's thoughts.

A part of me will always be you, and a part of you will always be me. That much is certain, no matter what else happens
This poem has help me through many losses, and it helps me to know the people I love and I have lost have contributed to make me who I am. From the loss of my parents to special children I have cared for over the year. I hope you find the joy of Lisa that is in you everyday.

Comments : Dear Rachel & Bobby,
Over the last couple of days, I have learned of Lisa's passing, the kind of child she was, about your family and the love they have for you both. I am saddened by your loss. I am not an eloquent write about my feeling's but I love poetry and here is a poem that has helped me with so many different kinds of losses maybe it can be of help to you. Respectfully C. W. Welch (Ricky)

The poem is by Larry S. Chengges, untitled.

Every moment that we are together I am learning something, and that knowledge becomes a permanent part of me. Though my feelings will be different a year from now, or ten years from now, part of the difference is YOU.
Because of you, I am a different person, and the person I will grow to become with or without you by my side, Will have gotten there partly because of you. If you were not in my life right now, I could not be who I am right now. Nor would I be growing in exactly the same way.

It really makes you think how important life is. How we take so much for granted. I feel so sorry for her parents. I can't imagine how they must feel. My heart and prayers go out to them.
She will be missed.......

Comments : Lisa and I were friends in middle school. We lived down the street from each other at the time so we road the bus together in the afternoon and talked n laughed n made jokes. When she went to the High school I still had one more year left in the middle school n I moved so we didn't get to spend time together n we drifted away. when I came to the high school we still talked sometime but we weren't friends like we use to be. It is sad to see her go and we will miss her very much. My prayers go to her, her friends and family.

Comments : Well, I just want to say that I'm so sorry that this had to happen to Lisa. I'm sorry that people have not learned to get in the simple habit of wearing a seatbelt. I used to be friends with Lisa in elementary and middle school, I regret to say that we lost touch during the high school years. It's so hard to believe that things like this happen so fast and cost lives. To Lisa's parents and close friends and family, I'm praying that somehow you will be comforted, I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you. I pray to God that Lisa was a born again Christian so I will be able to see her in Heaven one day. I also pray that through this whole tragedy many people will come to the Lord and ask to be saved and realize that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ. If any one would like to learn more about how to get saved so that one day you will be in Heaven also, please feel free to email me and I will do my best to help you and pray for you. May God be with you all.

Comments : God, where do I even start? I worked with Lisa at Fazoli's...we shared Government with Mr. Wright. We went to summer school together, where I got to know her fiancée, John I remember that big smile she always had when she was bee-bopping down the hall with her books close to her chest. When I was home for Christmas, I saw her at Best Buy and she was telling mw how much she liked her new job. I got online Friday night and Valarie IM'ed me and said..."Did you hear about Lisa Fleshman?" And I just knew for some reason that it wasn't going to be good news. Eddie and Michael Crews had told her. We were never really close, but it is a tragic loss. To John and her family and close friends...I keep thinking about you all, and how it must have felt to hear the news. I usually don't use my seatbelt, but when I was going up I-19 (I live in Fl. now) I caught myself putting it on...and praying for you Lisa. You all are in my prayers, and I send all my condolences to you. We will ALL see her one day...I know she will be waiting for us, with a smile on her face.

To everyone who were good friends and her family I send my deepest sympathy. I know how it is to lose someone but I could never imagine losing someone the way Lisa was lost. I hope everyone learns from this and also the death of Ben. Wear your seatbelt because cars are no joke. To her family I just want you to know that you are in my prayers. May God Bless!

I know none of you will recover from this, and just hearing about another student dieing saddens me. And I hope this teaches us to drive safer and to say what's on your mind and not let it linger-you never know when that person will be gone. To Lisa's friends and family, my deepest condolences.*Blessed Be~Merry Part*

Comments : Hi all. I heard last night the horrible news, I just sat there for a while devastated. I have been going to school
with Lisa since kindergarten. I really can't believe she's gone. We were good friends in middle and elem. school, but we lost touch in high school. Even though we weren't the closest of friends anymore I had her in almost every one of my classes and spoke to her at school often. This has hit me really hard. Heaven holds a place for you Lisa....and we will all miss you. All my love

I can't believe that someone that I have known almost all of my life is gone. Lisa and I were good friends up until junior year when we kind of lost touch, but we still talked to each other every morning before school with some of our other friends. To Lisa's mother and father, I'm so sorry for your loss, I know Lisa was an only child and I can't begin to understand the pain you must have right now. To our class, we have to be there for each other in this time of sadness and help keep each other strong. Lisa, you will be greatly missed by me and many others and I will never forget you. I'll see ya one of these days. Later chickadee, love always, Crystal

Comments : Some people may find it odd that I chose to write this comment. As many people know Lisa and I have not spoken since sophomore year. We had this really big falling out and didn't talk the rest of high school unless we were yelling or screaming at each other. How stupid that all seems now. From 7th grade to 10th, Lisa was my best friend in the world. If you found one of us, the second wasn't far behind. It all seems soo petty that we fought and never learned to forgive each other. But man, I do remember when we were the best of friends. We used to go to the mall and just hang out for hours or go to one another's houses and just sit around and talk for hours on end. My thoughts and prayers are with Rachel and Mr. Fleshman now because it must be so very hard to loose the only daughter. Many may not believe me when I say this, but I am sorry Lisa. Sorry that I never gave you a second chance but also that I never tried to stop the pettiness between us.

I remember every time I would see her in the halls she was always smiling or laughing, I don't think I ever remember seeing her mad or upset. I know she had a lot of close friends, and I want you all to know I'm praying for you. And to Lisa's family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. To the rest of the class of 2000, this is a sad time for all of us, whether we knew her well or just knew of her, and we need to be here for each other! I love ya'll!

fought and made up and by graduation became the best of friends. I will miss you dearly and will miss going to see
you every week at Best Buy. I get upset when i think about how proud you were of that car you JUST GOT!! The car that
