Updated 4/5/2020

Update due to the COVID-19 virus quarantine.

We have been able to reschedule the Brookville High School Class of 1970 50th Reunion to October 2 and 3, 2020. We hope that the world will have returned to a new normal by then so we can enjoy celebrating together.

At this time, Homecoming at the high school is scheduled for that Friday Oct. 2 as well. As we know, game schedules may change, but for now, we are hoping to work out meeting up before the game, and attending the game as a group for anyone interested. More to come on that later.

Ticket prices are still the same, hotel rates went up $6, as that weekend also has a big conference in town. Hotel rates are now $130, including breakfast (tax additional). Book rooms by 9/2/2020.
You can call 434-239-3006 and ask for group code BHR or go online at and use the same code. We also have a couple of classmates who have offered accommodations,

All details are on the website

Current ticket purchases will carry over unless
you have requested a refund.

HANG IN THERE, EVERYONE! While you are hanging around the house, fill out the bio form (even if you aren't coming). It's located at

You can also get in the spirit by sending me 10 favorite songs from the 1960-1975 era, or go dig in your basement and find some HS memorabilia!

Know how to get in touch with our former teachers? Invite them to come; I have already heard from two!

Be safe, be well and look forward to our get-together in the fall. Questions: respond by email, text or call me at 919-539-7290. WE WILL DO THIS!

Looking forward,   Nancy Dalton Breeding

Help is needed to make this a memorable event. Here are some ways you can participate in the creation!

  • WELCOME TABLE: NEED someone with computer skills to create the ubiquitous Yearbook Photo Nametags! Don't know about you, but I need all the help I can get to recognize faces and names! And volunteer greeters.

  • DECORATIONS AND MEMORABILIA: we have some volunteers for this and can always use more help. Thanks Dana Newcomb, Terry Moyers Mason, Elizabeth Brooks Farnsworth and Carol Noell Brogran so far. Please let me know if you want to join in and I will send contact info. Got class memorabilia you can lend?

  • TECH HELP: Let me know if you have good skills in setting up computer slide or video shows, and sound and microphone equipment.

  • MUSIC: Thanks to Cindy Crouch Willoughby who is working on finding a DJ. If you know of someone to suggest, let me know and I will send her contact info. Later I'm going to ask for your fave 10 songs of the era, so start thinking about it!

  • ENTERTAINMENT: Additional activities can include some trivia cards, classmate quiz and prizes, photo booth, and a MASTER OF CEREMONIES! Our class president cannot attend and the vice president is deceased, so I'm looking for someone to do welcome speech and direct activities.

  • COMPUTER PRESENTATION SKILLS: Do you have experience creating basic Powerpoint-style looping slide shows? We need someone to put together a memorial slide show for our deceased classmates.

  • WEEKEND ACTIVITIES: Randee Perkey Humphrey has graciously offered to put together a tour of Lynchburg sights, and needs someone in town who can help with onsite contacts. Let me know if you're interested and I will put you in touch.

  • SPONSORS: Looking for classmates or businesses to sponsor any part of this event: pre-event, bar, entertainment, ticket scholarships and whatever else you can think of.

  • THANKS TO Mike, Rachel, and Mitch Dossett and David Inge for volunteering to help find locations and Dana Newcomb for volunteering to help with food coordination.

Sounds like a lot, right? But it only takes a few people to volunteer for one thing to make this an event to remember! You can call me at 919-539-7290 or respond to this email and let me know what you want to do!!! THANKS TO EVERYONE!
