Collin Conrad awarded National YMCA Outstanding Athlete Scholarship Award
On Thursday, April 3rd,
Collin Conrad of the Lynchburg YMCA Swim Team was awarded the National YMCA Outstanding Athlete Scholarship Award while competing with his team at the YMCA National Swimming and Diving Championship in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This $1000 scholarship, presented by Nike, is awarded each year to a swimmer at the meet. This year's meet includes over 1600 swimmers from all over the country. The criteria for the award include being a YMCA swimmer for at least 5 years, maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and letters of recommendation that reflect the athlete's display of the YMCA character traits of caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect.

The Bees Volleyball team lost in the state semi-finals in 3 games.
The team had a GREAT year (24-3),  and we are all very proud of them.
